Photonic Integrated Circuit

Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) is a well-known technology in the telecommunications field and is driving the development of high-speed networks and 5G. This is mainly due to the rapid development of optical modules and passive components, which are smaller, faster, cheaper and more environmentally friendly than bulk optics. From a commercial and research perspective, PIC is also starting to play a role in other areas such as labs on a chip, lidar technology or quantum computing.
